Hillside Pre-School is a charity managed by a Committee of volunteer parents. Any parent can become a member of the Committee and therefore have an input into how the Pre-school is run.
The Committee performs two main functions - Fundraising and the Day to Day Management of the Pre-School.
The Fundraising Team is dedicated to ensuring that we have exciting events and activities organised throughout the year which raise money for extra equipment and learning materials for the children. The money that has been raised in recent years has enabled us to buy lots of new toys and outdoor equipment and has also funded the Children’s Christmas Parties and other fun activities.
The Management Team are tasked with ensuring that the Pre-School is being run in accordance with the policies set by Ofsted and work closely with the Pre-School Leader to ensure the smooth day to day running of the Pre-School. This involves finance, administration and liaison with the Pre-School Learning Alliance and other governing bodies.
The Committee is always looking for extra help and ideas and welcomes any parents that would like to get involved in any way. Being part of the Committee is a great way to find out more about Pre-School, get to know other parents and have fun whilst watching your children benefit from all the hard work and effort!
